London—President Asif Ali Zardari has said that
on-going military operation to be extended to
Waziristan, adding Swat is just the start and
it’s a larger war to fight. In an interview with
a British newspaper, the president while talking
on timing of the operation said that perhaps it
was mere coincidence, then, that the Pakistan
army launched its Swat offensive just two days
after his meeting with President Obama.
Rawalpindi—The security forces have achieved
significant successes in the Malakand operation
killing another 25 miscreants while an officer
embraced shahadat and 7 security personnel
including an officer sustained injuries.

(NGOs) at a consultation organised by the

discussed the issues relating to needs of
