Advance pay & pension for IDPsStaff Reporter

Peshawar —In the wake of difficulties being faced by the employees of Districts affected by the current wave of war against militancy in Malakand Division, the Government of NWFP Finance Department has allowed the advance disbursement of pay and pensions for the month of May 2009 to the government servants of districts Buner, Shangla, Swat and Dir Lower.

82 pc wheat purchase target achieved

Multan— Food Department Multan division has achieved 82 percent target of wheat procurement. Deputy director Munir Ahmed told APP that so far 12,55,390 tons (1.255 million tons) of the golden grain has been purchased at 78 procurement centres across the division.

Shahbaz hands over 150 loaded trucks to NWFP Govt

Risalpur—The Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif handed over 150 trucks loaded with relief goods while Chief Minister Balochstian Nawabi Aslam Raisani presented a cheque of Rs.60 million to Chief Minister NWFP Ameer Haider Khan Hoti for assistance and rehabilitation of IDPs of Buner, Swat, Dir and Malakand Agency here on Friday.
