Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz
Sharif has said that there is complete unity in
the people in the war for the survival of the
country and joint efforts will be made to
counter the threat of extremism. He said that a
handful of elements will not be allowed to
impose their will at gunpoint. He said that
maintenance of law and order and supremacy of
law will have to be ensured otherwise all will
be lost.
Lahore—Pakistan Dairy Development Company (PDDC)
has launched a book titled as “Behta Doodh
Darya” to give an overview of its interventions
introduced for development of modern dairy
farming in Pakistan. Geof Walker, Chief
Executive Officer of the Company expressed
gratitude to Lal Muhammad Khan, Federal Minister
Special Initiatives and Shahab Khawaja, Federal
Secretary Industries and Production for
appreciating PDDC’s initiative to record
valuable interventions of the company in the
best interest and reference of the local dairy
industry. Geoff Walker informed that the book
had covered details of “Model Farm Programme,
“Community Farm Programme and “the Extension
Programme run by PDDC during last three years in
Northern Punjab, Central Punjab, Southern
Punjab, Sindh Province, NWFP, Balochistan and
Kashmir.
Lahore—Chairman Mumtaz Bukhtawar Memorial Trust
Hospital, Iftikhar Ali Malik has donated 15
trucks load of relief goods worth Rs 5 million
for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Swat.
Talking to media,he said that all the trucks
load of small packets of flour,cooking
oil,mineral water,sugar,best export quality
guard rice,milk,quilts,blankets,folding foam
beds, pillows and utensils will be despatched
from Mumtaz Bakhtawar Memorial Trust
Hospital,Raiwind Road here on May 17 at 8.a.m.
He will himself accompany the relief consignment
and personally distribute the same among the
affectees, Iftikhar Malik added.

at Central Model High School Ratigon Road Lahore
under the Chairmanship of EDO (Education)
