Karachi—Sindh Chief Minster, Syed Qaim Ali shah
has underlined the need for industrial promotion
in the province and said every effort will be
made to establish maximum small industrial
estates so as to create job opportunities for
un-employed youth. He was presiding over a
meeting of Industries department at Chief
Minister House Thursday afternoon.
Islambad—Mr. Sohail Ahmad has been appointed as
chairman FBR. He joined the 1979 batch of Civil
Services in the District Management Group. He
has worked extensively since then in filed,
staff and policy assignments.
Rawalpindi—One-day training workshop on the
subject of Intellectual Property Rights was
organized by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and
Industry in collaboration with Small and Medium
Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA). A
large number of businessmen attended the
workshop.
Karachi —Persisting slowdown in the economy and
demand destruction is likely to force policy
makers to continue easing interest rates
especially in the ensuing budget 2009-10 which
is likely to witness a 300bp cut in the discount
rate.
