Islamabad—Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq
Parvez Kayani on Thursday visited Swat and met
with field commanders and troops participating
in ongoing operations. He appreciated high
morale of the troops. He also saw at first hand
certain operations being carried out against the
militants. He was given detailed briefing on the
progress of operations by General Officer
Commanding.
Islamabad—Federal Minister for
Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan has
proposed a three pronged strategy for the Muslim
world to collectively face current challenges
faced by it. The strategy encompasses
co-existence, mutual trust and interdependence
among Muslim countries.

efforts in difficult terrain of Swat and
adjacent areas to wipe out terrorists from the

meet half of all demands to send essential
