Rawalpindi—The military said on Wednesday that 11 militants and four soldiers were killed during the last 24 hours of an air and ground offensive against the Taliban in Malakand. It is impossible to confirm such tolls independently, which add up to more than 750 dead militants over the last 17 days in the northwest. But it was the lowest single day toll announced by the military since it launched an offensive in Swat last week.
