Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani
has announced that armed forces have been called
in to eliminate militants and terrorists in
order to restore honour and dignity of the
homeland and protect the people.
Peshawar—As the gunship helicopters continued
pounding the militants hideouts in parts of
Malakand division and gained control of the
emerald mines in Takhtabund area in Swat killing
number of insurgents, the elder son of Maulana
Sufi Mohammad, the chief of
Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Shariah-e-Mohammadi (TNSM),
was killed in Lower Dir during the security
forces action on Thursday.
Rawalpindi—Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq
