Mingora—An intense gunbattle raged between
security forces and militants in Swat’s Mingora
city on Tuesday, forcing residents to flee to
safer sites. The army also issued an evacuation
call that raised fears of an imminent new
offensive.
Peshawar—A suicide explosion in the provincial
metropolis on Tuesday early morning left as many
as five people including security personnel and
school going kids dead. At least 40 people were
seriously wounded. Some 20 men in uniform were
among the injured. As emergency was declared in
the hospitals, the medics have described the
condition of many injured as critical.
Rawalpindi—15 militants were killed while two
soldiers embraced shahadat and 6 others were
missing in an exchange of fire between militants
and the Security Forces In Mohmand Agency .
