Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif
Monday stressed on the importance of making
economic growth in Pakistan competitive,
equitable and sustainable. He was speaking at
the second meeting of the National Policy
Platform for Competitiveness & Economic Growth (NPPCEG)
chaired by Shahid Javed Burki and attended by
the World Bank and stakeholders from all four
provinces of Pakistan in the provincial capital,
Lahore.
Islamabad—A number of multi-million dollars
projects including the second containers
terminal at Port Qasim Authority (PQA) will be
completed at an estimated cost of US $ 250
million in next year. The project is being
completed with the help of Dubai Port World,
said the sources of the Ministry for Ports and
Shipping.

offers great potential of investment as it could

brand, here Monday signed a brand partnership
agreement with Firhaj Footwear, the
manufacturers and distributors in Pakistan of
the world famous Hush Puppies brand.
