Indian atrocities in Kashmir

Comment
Nasir Mahmood

Karachi—The Indian jets have violated Pakistani air space. The incident received a great deal of coverage on Pakistani TV on Saturday. One violation took place in the Kashmir sector and one in the Lahore sector. The incidents come at a time of heightened tension between the nuclear-armed neighbours following the coordinated attacks on Mumbai two weeks ago in which more than 170 people were killed. The Indian government has blamed the attacks on fighters based in Pakistan.

It’s very difficult to believe such a thing could happen by mistake because there are defined corridors for military manoeuvres. Tempers are running high between the two countries and such acts are likely to escalate the situation, analysts said.

Pakistan is not India’s only neighbour yet it is blamed in almost all natural or manmade disasters that befall India, a convenient scapegoat. They were about to blame the 2001 earthquake on Pakistan as well. A BBC reporter asked a local man about the earthquake and he said it was a Pakistani atom bomb that exploded and on further questioning conceded that it appeared at first that way.

The Indians are so brainwashed into thinking Pakistan is the cause of all their problems that they blame it for anything. The outbreak of plague in India in 1994 was another example even the govt. was blaming Pakistan before they found the source of disease. How does India treat its other non Hindu neighbours (Sri Lanka, B/Desh)? We do not hear Indians blaming China, US or any other powerful countries.

A big media propaganda carried out by India since this all started. Blaming Pakistan for all what happened without any proof till today. Now they ban a group in Pakistan, just because India “said” so. And again, without any proof of what the group did wrong. This group has been involved in social services actively and when the earthquake disaster hit Pakistan few years back, workers of this group were the first ones to provide aid on the scene. Sure, ban the group if any proof has been found of any terror links, but not like this. And Pakistan had no choice but to comply with the UN’s order. All one can say that countries like India, Pakistan are run by incapable people.

There are many nations in the world where people of every conceivable faith live with equality. In India, Hindus have enjoyed absolute power for the first time in 2000 years. In the last 60 years, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and low class Hindus have been slaughtered in the hundreds of thousands, and their places of worship destroyed. We know what India is, a nation in which hundreds of millions are called untouchables, a nation where more than ten million girls have been exterminated.

It appears that even after 60 years of independence nations, such as India, find themselves still trapped by the leftovers of the colonial disputes when it is in their power to change their own destiny. It seems that even the most highly educated among them are letting their own prejudices rule the day as though this hatred is part of their DNA.

No doubt the idea of war between the two countries is much convenient for the major arms suppliers to have come shopping to fill their coffer just when they are in an economic downturn. The Mumbai attack being a ?subversive act, a covert operation’ has much merit as anything else suggested. However, ?the West’ is not the only entity that should be suspected as being behind this. One thing that bothers is the abundance of ?evidence’ directly linking the terrorists to Pakistan. With the whole affair so obviously well planned and executed, why would the terrorists be so careless by leaving all this evidence behind unless that was their intention all along?

It is very easy to accuse Pakistan for involvement in the Mumbai carnage, but why didn’t the UN and CIA find the culprits behind the Marriott carnage in Pakistan or the killing of thousands of Muslims in Indian Kashmir? 150,000 Muslims had been killed in Kashmir by the Indian Army and the security forces in the name of terror. But the UN never tried to help the innocent people of Kashmir; they assume that 170 people in Mumbai are more precious than the 150,000 Muslim martyrs of Kashmir.

Now the UN have imposed a ban on Jamaat ud Dawah but no ban is imposed on the Joint Interrogation Centres run by Indian Agencies in Kashmir where everyday 2-3 Kashmiri freedom fighters are being killed. The UN never asked India about the 25,000 people who are still missing in custody, and mass graves found in Kashmir were ignored by the UN, the US and the UK. It is a shameful act that the atrocities committed by India, the USA, and the UK have been ignored by the UN. We as Muslims have to blame the so called OIC (Oh I See) as they have no dignity and should be dissolved at once.

India will milk this attack to their advantage no matter what Pakistan does. It appears they now want 40 people not 20. They will demand more and more until Pakistan finds it impossible to comply and then break off relations having obtained what they wanted in the first place. Pakistanis always fall into this trap and they should not let themselves be bullied.

Pakistan itself is no stranger to terrorist attacks on its soil yet does not blame India. The fact that the Indian media and Politicians were pointing the finger at Pakistan whipping up hysteria among their people against Pakistan even as the attack was still in progress, shows the measure of hatred that exists and why a resolution of the Kashmir issue is so important for the security of the Indian subcontinent.

Israel has used Jewish centers to create chaos in India by organizing terror attacks without the knowledge of Manmohan Singh putting the blame to an Islamic country. The issue has been framed incorrectly for these people. The incident should be used as a catalyst for understanding and preventing further such incidents, not an excuse to vent frustrations between India and Pakistan or Islam and the West.

The US and NATO should get out of Afghanistan before they lose face. Not that they haven’t already lost face. In Iraq it was a different story, when it comes to Afghanistan they are looking at seasoned warriors who have nothing to loose after 30 years of aggression by the Russians and the back-stabbing US.

The US should be helping to rebuild Afghanistan like the US helped the Japanese after World War II. US need to respect and appreciate Afghans for bringing down the former USSR and its influence in Eastern Europe, instead US back-stabbed the poor Afghans. Last week six people were killed after a US drone fired a missile into a house in Pakistan’s South Waziristan region. So far more than 30 such US Missile attacks were carried on the innocent Pakistanis against targets on the Pakistan side of the Afghan border since August.

Many more Missiles will be fired and many more innocent will be murdered and the coward rulers will keep saying that fighters were killed. People don’t think the missiles have killed any Al-Qaeda fighters. The US and the rest of the clowns murdering the innocent will obviously pay for these violent acts against Muslims.

According to analysts this “war on terror” is an evil joke. They just follow the lead of Israel. Just go kill people by air without any proof and half the time wipe out wedding parties. The “folks” at Council on Foreign Relations and U.S. officials are either incompetent or idiots to think this could work. Israel released an IDF clip of agents doing a drive by and killing four guys in a car. Ok so the world trusts that this allegation is true and justice means nothing.
