Politicians pledge full support against Indian
belligerance

Islamabad/Karachi—Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has contacted
various political leaders after Indian threat.
The Prime Minister telephoned Mian Nawaz Sharif, MQM leader Altaf
Hussain, Jamaat Islami leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed. He discussed with
them about situation and all leaders assured the government their
complete support and assistance.
Chaudhry Shujaat, Shahbaz Sharif and Asfandyar Wali also pledged
full support to the government in hard times. The prime minister
also talked with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and taken him into confidence
over the situation.
Pir Pagara and Mehmood Khan Achakzai also assured the prime minister
that they will stand with the nation and the government in all
testing times.
All political parties of the country have assured the government
full cooperation against Indian allegations belligerent behaviour
after Mumbai attacks. Spokesman of Pakistan Muslim League-N
Siddiq-ul-Farooque talking to a private TV channel said that
national interest is supreme and the PML-N will support all steps of
the government.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that India is trying
to exert maximum pressure over Pakistan on various pretexts. He said
Jamaat-e-Islami will support the government in this situation. PML-Q
leader Marvi Memon called all parties to get united to offer proper
response to Indian allegations. Muslim League (Q) will fully support
the government measures, she said.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi talking to One
World said his party is against destabilization in the region adding
that terrorism is joint enemy of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.
Awami National Party leader Zahid Khan has said that his party is
follower of the philosophy of Bacha Khan and said that war is not in
the interest of any country.
