57 sacked PPL employees reinstated

Quetta—Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani Chief Minister Balochistan Monday distributed reinstatement orders of the 57 dismissed PPL employees who were dismissed a couple of years ago by the previous government.

All the employees belonged to Bugti tribe who were victim of the previous government on political consideration rather than on breach of discipline. A wave of jubilation prevailed among the Bugti tribe. The employees will be given fifty percent of salaries during the period of their termination.

Nawab Aslam Raisani told the journalists on the occasion that the reinstatement of the employees of Bugti tribe is part of the process of reconciliation among the dissident tribal elders and the negotiations was in progress in an amicable manner to resolve their grievances for durable tribal peace in the province.

About the declaration of general amnesty by the federal government Nawab Raisani said he is in favour of general amnesty for all those who fall under the category of political victimisation. He was confident that their efforts for normalisation of situation would produce positive results.

The members of the provincial cabinet, Chief Secretary Mr. Nasar Mehmood Khosa, Managing Director PPL and prominent political personalities were present to witness the ceremony held in Chief Minister Secretariat this evening.
