Islamabad—Telenor Pakistan, for the second time in a row has won the award for the “Mobile Operator with the Most Consumer Pull” at the 7th SAARC CEO Conclave held in Hyderabad, India. Telenor Pakistan has been chosen for this award by Voice& Data which is the leading magazine in SAARC that traces the business, technology and regulatory aspect of telecom and networking. “This award is a result of our team’s focused effort towards ensuring customer satisfaction.

It has only been possible because of the outstanding performance by Telenor Pakistan’s employees who have displayed a thorough understanding of our customers’ needs. Becoming the most preferred mobile operator is a result of our commitment towards providing the best to our customers, always. It is indeed a moment of pride to receive the award for the second time in a row.” said Executive Vice President, Telenor Pakistan, Irfan Wahab Khan.

“We would also like to thank all our consumers for putting their trust in Telenor Pakistan.” he added. Telenor Pakistan had won the awards for “Most Innovative Mobile Operator” and “Mobile Operator with the Most Consumer Pull” at the 6th SAARC Conference 2007 held in Nepal. Just recently, Telenor Pakistan won the Buzziest Brand of the Year award while Talkshawk is voted Best Positive Buzz Brand of the Year and the Longest Buzz Brand of the Year in a survey carried our by Revelation Inc., an independent media and advertising concern. The winners for this conclave have been selected through an online poll organized by V&D and JuxtConsult, an online research agency.

The service providers were rated on the basis of consumer satisfaction. Rating criteria included analysis such as which operator has the most consumer friendly value added services and comes up with the most creative marketing and advertising ideas. The CEO Conclave 2008 endeavors to get more than hundred key regulators, operators, vendors, and VAS and content players in the SAARC region to discuss and brainstorm on what they must do, and how, to ensure that the next growth phase of telecom is equally successful.
