US helping Pakistan in war on terror: Boucher

Washington—US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher Saturday said that his country wants to help the government of Pakistan for the elimination of terrorism from the country.

In an interview he said Pakistan has its nuclear arsenal in safe and strong hands.

Responding to a question regarding negotiations with Taliban, Boucher said US has always followed policy of negotiations.

He said his country still felt need to have more talks with Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, and the chapter was not closed yet.
