Hameed Dogar paid an extensive visit to Sindh
Judiciary from July 14 to 17 during which he
went to Sukkur, Larkana and Dadu and met members
of the respective Bars. The CJP arrived in
Sukkur on July 14 and inaugurated Annexe
Building of Sindh High Court in the afternoon
and had tea with the District Bar Association.
Karachi—The certificate distribution ceremony of
Voluntary Service Programme was held at the
Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT)
here on Friday. The SlUT initiated the Voluntary
Service Programme for school children to
inculcate values of love for humanity, respect
for human rights and strengthening of ethical
values in the children.
Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali
Shah has expressed solidarity with the people of
Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Annexation
Day with Pakistan to be observed on July 19. He
said it was on this day that people of Jammu and
Kashmir had passed the historic resolution from
the platform of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim
Conference for annexation with Pakistan. “Our
Kashmiri brethren have written a new history by
sacrificing their lives which will always be
remembered”.
Karachi—The close and deep friendship between
Pakistan and China is exemplary and serves as a
model in the comity of nations. This was stated
by the Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Syed
Faisal Ali Sabzwari. He was speaking at the
inaugural ceremony of the exhibition of Chinese
artists’ works at the Art Council of Pakistan
here, says a statement on Friday. The Consul
General of China in Karachi, Chen Shenming, and
the Cultural Counsellor, Zhang Chaoyu, were also
present on the occasion.
Karachi—Sindh Minister for Forest and Home,
Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza Friday directed Secretary
Forest to gear up efforts to check illegal
felling of trees and transportation of wood and
thus protect forestry from diminishing.
He issued the directive while taking cognizance
of a news item appearing in a section of press
regarding mass destruction of mangroves. It was
alleged in the report that coastal areas of
Sindh, specially Karachi, were being deprived of
mangroves and land grabbers had occupied major
parts of land in the coastal belt in connivance
with some officials of Forest Department, Police
and other concerned authorities.
