All expectations of Saudi visit fulfilled; Riyadh to help Pakistan improve strategic oil reserves

Asif Ali Zardari said this while talking to the media men here Sunday. “We want balance of power between the constitutional institutions rather than a confrontation between parliament and president. We want to put the country on the road to progress beyond our personal likes or dislikes. All the expectations with which we have come have been fulfilled, therefore, we have extended our stay in Saudi Arabia. Whenever we had sought cooperation from Saudi government, Saudi leadership had always shown generosity. A fresh start by Shahbaz

Comment
Khalid Butt

IT IS GOOD to see Shahbaz Sharif in good form to start his second innings like a seasoned campaigner. First at the Punjab Assembly, then at the Governor’s House and then at CM Sectt (90-The Mall) he spoke like someone who had meticulously done his home work. There is consistency in his thoughts and obviously long years of exile have brought about a much more balanced and measured approach in him. After being elected unopposed as the Punjab Chief Minister with a tally of 265 votes (the opposition group making themselves scarce) he stood up in the house to make a rambling and memorable speech. It was punctuated with most appropriate quotes from Habib Jalib the revolutionary poet known for his challenge to past dictators with his firey verses.
