Islamabad—US President George W. Bush on Friday
telephoned President Pervez Musharraf assuring
him of strong US support for Pakistan which he
described as a staunch anti-terrorism ally of
the United States.
Islamabad—The co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples
Party, Asif Ali Zardari has said that his party
and PML-N were partners in the journey of
democracy. He said PPP believed in the dialogue
process while PML-N’s stance was impatient.

said he had not leaked nuclear technology to any
country adding he had made confession on TV in

Hyderabad—Deposed Chief Justice of Supreme
Court, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Choudhry has
said that every citizen of the country has the
right to gain justice, which is possible only
through supremacy of the constitution and rule
of law.

warned of new threats from a resurgent al-Qaeda,
CIA Director Michael V. Hayden now portrays the
terrorist movement as essentially defeated in
Iraq and Saudi Arabia and on the defensive
throughout much of the rest of the world,
including in its presumed haven along the
Afghanistan-Pakistan border, says a report
published in Washington Post here Friday.

said on Friday the government of Pakistan
People’s Party was committed to the supremacy of
parliament and independence of judiciary and
would never compromise on democratic principles.

of Pakistan has rejected a petition seeking
President Musharraf to vacate the army house.
The General Secretary of “Adliya Bachao
Committee” Mian Jameel Akhtar has filed a
petition in this regard through his lawyer
Barrister Farooq.
Lahore—Election Tribunal of Lahore High Court
has reserved the judgement on the petitions
filed against the acceptance of nomination
papers of Sarif brothers and it will be
announced on Saturday today at 10. a.m.
