PML-Q forward bloc MPAs extend support to the PML-N

Lahore—As many as 24 members of the PML-Q forward block in the Punjab Assembly here Sunday met Pakistan Muslim League-N Punjab President Sardar Zulfikar Khosa and assured the PML-N their all out support.

According to sources, these PML-Q MPAs have also assured that they will not become a part of any effort to destabilize the province’s government. The forward block members have also agreed to name their group the Unification Block.

The PML-Q MPAs believe they can no longer ignore the popular mandate given to the Nawaz-league by the voters and must support the provincial government, the sources said. The two of the group’s leading members — Najaf Abbas Sayyal and Abbas Chaudhry — did not attend the meeting.

Moreover, PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif has called meeting of the parliamentary party of the PML-N in Punjab Assembly at his Raiwind residence on Monday.
