PCB Chief withdraws law suit against Shoaib

Lahore—Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Nasim Ashraf on Friday formally withdrew the 220 million rupee defamation suit which he filed against maverick pacer Shoaib Akhtar, from a civil court in Lahore.

Gymkhana Stars move into Malik Saad Memorial Cricket q-finals

Peshawar—Gymkhana Stars took berth into the semi-finals of the 17th Malik Saad Memorial Cricket Tournament after defeating Khyber Greens in the quarter-final played here Friday. Gymkhana Stars will now face Tribal club in the semi-finals of the 110 teams’ battle. Earlier, Khyber Greens skipper Majeed Khan won the toss and invited Gymkhana Stars to bat first.

Farhan clinches All Pak President Squash title

Abbotabad—Farhan Meh-boob on Friday beat Yasir Butt 3-1 in the final of the JSIL President, Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) International Squash Championship 2008, to claim the title here at Jansher Khan Squash Complex in a sensational but one sided match he final score-line was 5-11, 11-10, 11-7 and 11-5.
