APDM to call national moot over judges issue

Rana Fawad

Lahore—Ameer Jamat-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that APDM would hold National Conference in the first week of June for the restoration of judges and call a countrywide protest for acceptance of their demands.
He was addressing a press conference here at JI headquarters Mansoorah on Friday after the meeting of central shoora. Syed Munawar Hassan and Amir-ul-Azeem were also present the occasion.
Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that restoration of judges without Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, would not be accepted. He said that JI would favour all movements, which start for the restoration of judges.
Criticizing Salman Taseer as Governor Punjab, Qazi Hussain said that PML-N was a majority party in Punjab and appointment of a controversial person, as governor would create differences and political confrontation in Punjab and it would affect the democratic system.
He said that basic reason of differences between PML-N and PPP were the intrigues of presidency and appointment of governor was also a part of this conspiracy.
He called Pervez Musharraf as illegal and unconstitutional president who was elected by an assembly which completed, its five years tenure.
Qazi Hussain also criticized US missile attack in Bajore and said that US was interfering in our domestic matters. He said that earlier the government denied any attack in Bajore due to US pressure. He said that the government was promoting relations with US at the price of our national interest.
