Technical education key to prosperity: Gondal
Contribution of Preston University towards nation building lauded

Islamabad—Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, Nazar Muhammad Gondal has said that progress and prosperity of any nation depends on technical education and training of the young generation.He said this while addressing, as chief guest, in a big gathering of students currently pursuing technical education at Preston University, here on Friday.
Federal Minister also lauded contribution of Preston University towards nation building through promotion of technical education.Addressing the students at the annual dinner of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme of the university held yesterday, Nazar Gondal further said that it was indeed great pleasure seeing such large number of on-job people dedicatedly engaged in acquisition of technical education at Preston university.
He emphasized the need to make consistent endeavours to enhance the quality of technical education in the country.As by doing so he said, “We would be able to put our country on the path to rapid and sustained progress, and bring much desired prosperity to our nation”.
He profoundly appreciated the efforts that Preston University continues to make to promote Business, Engineering and Technical Education in the country.He expressed the hope that the university would further gear up its efforts in this direction in the years head.
Earlier, in his welcome address on the occasion, the Chancellor of Preston University, Dr Abdul Basit expressed his utmost gratitude to the Minister for his arrival there and also briefly spoke about the history of the university and highlighted its achievements since its establishment in 1984.
