Afridi for comprehensive security plan for Mazar-i-Quaid

Islamabad— The Federal Minister for Environment. Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi has said that all out efforts would be made to ensure the sanctity and prestige of the Mazar of Father of the Nation. He said that a proposal to deploy the Rangers and Sindh Police at the Mazar is also being considered.
He expressed these views during his first visit to Mazar-e-Quaid and chairing a meeting of Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board at Karachi recently. The Federal Minister laid floral wreath and offered Fateha at the grave of Father of the Nation. The Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Environment.
The Minister emphasized the need for improvement of security arrangements at Mazar and directed the authorities to formulate a new comprehensive security plan within a week. He directed Resident Engineer to beef up security arrangements at Mazar and its peripheral area. He also directed for deployment of officers for the monitoring of security services at Mazar.
The Minister was briefed about the Mazar, peripheral area and inspected the development work being carried out. The Minister also appreciated the good restoration of relies of Aiwan-e-Nawadrat-e-Quaid-i-Azam.
