AJK Govt takes step for revival of sick units

Mirpur— Under the spirit to encourage and give impetus to the process for industrial development in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the AJK government taken necessary steps for the revival of sick industrial units to make them the production-eaming factories, official sources said.
The sources told APP here Wednesday that since the government is bent upon to bring about the industrial revolution in Azad Kashmir by getting spread the network of industries by the private sector in various parts of Azad Kashmir particularly in Mirpur division, it is imperative for the concerned functionaires of Azad Jammu Kashmir government to materialize the governments plan for speedy industrial progress in the liberated territory.
The AJK government has directed the department of commerce and industries as well as other departments including financial institutions to extend every possible facilities and assistance to the exiting and intending investors for the speedy industrial progress of AJK s that the states economy could get strengthened and the AJK people could embrace with the socio-economic uplift and prosperity. The policy is aimed at to overcome the unemployment and poverty in the area.
The AJK government has also strictly advised the Department of Commerce and Industries to strictly abide by the rules and regulations in connection with the allotment of the plots for the new industrial units in the industrial estates of Azad Kashmir.
The government has decided to initiate stringent action against those officials found responsible of creating undue bottlenecks in the official works of the needy people.
The AJK government has further directed that commercial plots in the industrial estates be allotted only through auction so that every body could be able to participate in the bid. The Government as further directed for the immediate installation of the Control to save the city from the pollution.
The AJK government of commerce and Industry, has meanwhile, decided to hold meeting of the allotment committee after ever months in order to streamline and expedite the cases of allotments in response to the pending and new application.
The AJK people could embrace with the socio-economic uplift and prosperity. The policy is aimed at to overcome the unemployment and poverty in the area. —APP
