Cultures can help promote peace, harmony: Marri
Govt taking steps to provide jobs to unemployed youth
Karachi—Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri
Tuesday announced that Sindh Government will provide maximum
possible job opportunities to the unemployed, poor youth of the
province.
She was talking to people at an open katchery at Bilawal House where
she listened to problems of people and issued orders to the
concerned officials for redressal of their grievances.
Talking to the media on this occasion Shazia Marri said on the
directives of Co-chairman PPP, Asif Ali Zardari, every Minister will
hold an open katchery at Bilawal House and at their offices as well.
She said the government has started taking up recruitment procedure
to fill around 40,000 vacancies while private sector will also be
persuaded to accommodate as many unemployed youth as possible as
giving jobs is the main point of the party manifesto.
Replying to a question, Ms Marri said the leadership and PPP
government believe in an independent judiciary and Judges issue will
also be solved amicably.
She hoped that PML (N) will re-join the government and the coalition
will remain intact.
She dispelled the impression that restrictions are being imposed on
the media and said PPP always advocated the freedom of the Press and
will protect it at all costs.
“We are committed to our promises and efforts are being made to
solve the grievances of people and results in this regard will be
visible in weeks”.
Ms. Marri warned that the officers, who are not ready to perform
their duty properly, will be taken to task.
Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri has suggested need to
promote cultures and respect for religions practiced across the
globe so as to develop international harmony.
Addressing as chief guest at the launching ceremony of a magazine
Pakistan German Forum, at Consulate General of Germany in Karachi,
she said Pakistan and Germany could play a significant role towards
peace and harmony in the world.
The Pakistan- Germany Business Forum has published the magazine.
Minister Shazia Marri said the present government is also keen to
promote religious, cultural, social and economic relation with all
nations of the world, so that conflicts in the world are addressed
properly.
Provincial Minister for Information said the present PPP government
is also eager to promote foreign investment in the country to
address the grievance/ problems of unemployment and stabilise the
economy of the country.
The Pakistan German Forum Magazine will help us in this regard and
it will also bring closer the nations of both countries, she
reiterated.
The Consul General of Germany in Karachi, Hans-Joechim Kiderlen, the
Chairman Pakistan Germany Business Association, Sohail Yasin,
Ibrahim Bux, Majyd Aziz also addressed the gathering.
It was said that previously the Pakistan German Forum Magazine was
only business- oriented but now it has also included the culture and
science sections.
They said the magazine will support promotion of the social and
economic relations between Pakistan and Germany.—APP
