Islamabad—Pakistan Muslim League (N) has decided
to quit federal cabinet as the issue of
restoration of deposed judges could not be
resolved on the given date that expired last
night.
Addressing a news conference here Monday after
the meeting of the Central Working Committee and
Parliamentary Party PML (N) leader, Mian
Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said, PML Ministers will
meet the Prime Minister in the Federal Cabinet
and tender their resignations today.
Optimism runs in my blood and I always believed
and history bears testimony to the fact that
this nation of 160 million has the inherent
strength and time-tested resilience to keep
itself afloat despite all odds and hostile
factors. It is often said that this country had
been passing through crisis after crisis ever
since its inception in 1947 but it could be said
without fear of contradiction that now it was
really facing a crisis of serious magnitude,
which, God forbid, may ultimately turn this
country of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah into
a banana republic. At least, this is what the
vast majority of people of Pakistan feel.

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has decided to contest
by-elections from the constituencies of NA-123
(Lahore) and NA-55 (Rawalpindi).

established only 100 days ago. Now that PML-N
has decided to quit the federal Cabinet, the PPP
may feel free to look for options as PML-N will
draw closer to the campaign calling for

London—Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman
Asif Ali Zardari Monday said that his party will
keep up its support for Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N)
in Punjab and no new ministers would be brought
in place of those N-League ministers who have
given resignation in the centre.

court and restricting the print and electronic
media from publishing or telecasting news items
regarding judiciary without prior permission by
the Court.
