NUST signs agreements with Korean, Japanese institutes

Rawalpindi—National University of Science And Technology (NUST) has signed academic agreements with Hanyang University, South Korea, Ajou University, South Korea and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
These agreements were signed during a visit of Rector NUST, Lt Gen Muhammad Asghar to these institutions. He was accompanied by Dr Arshad Ali from NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed with Kyung Hee University, South Korea during the recent visit.
These agreements cover wide areas of cooperation, including exchange of students, exchange of faculty and staff members, joint research and consultancy services, participation in seminars and academic meetings, exchange of academic material and other information, and special short academic programs and projects.
It may be mentioned that National University of Science And Technology has collaborative agreements with 32 universities in 15 countries across the globe.
The University is actively pursuing high-tech research programs with the industrial sector at home and renowned universities and research institutes abroad.—APP
