Govt committed to protect rights of employees: Ameer

Hyderabad—The present government is fully committed to protect the rights of employees and employers and ensure the working relations between the stakeholders so that the country could be made prosperous and strong like other developed countries of the world. Sindh Minister for Labour and Manpower Ameer Nawab has maintained this while addressing the members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday evening.
He said that the prime objective of the present government is to ensure the rule of law so that economy of the country could be moved in smooth direction. Besides provision of basic facilities and overcoming the problem of increasing unemployment are the major tasks of the government, he said.
The minister said that the industrialists can play major role in overcoming the problem of unemployment by establishing maximum industrial units, for which, the government will facilitate them at all stages.
He said that the government has decided to ensure the implementation of labour laws in letter and spirit and also safeguard the rights of employees and employers. Earlier, the President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in his welcome address highlighted the problems, being faced by the traders and industrialists of Hyderabad.
The minister also visited Workers Model School SITE where he asked the teachers to realise their responsibility and impart quality education so that the future generation of the workers community could be able to meet the challenges of the modern world.
The Minister also visited SESSI Hospital where he was briefed about the performance of the hospital and medical facilities being provided to workers community. Earlier, in a meeting with the heads of all organisations of the Ministry of Labour, the minister asked the officers concerned to differentiate between the peoples’ government and non-representative government and implement all decisions of the present government in effective manners so that the promises, which made with the workers community for the welfare and uplift could be fulfilled in letter and spirit.—APP
