Mustafa, Mayor of Houston sign MoU for sister city

Karachi—Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mayor of Houston, Bill White, declaring Karachi and Houston as sister cities.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the City Council Hall of Houston, Texas on Thursday.
On the occasion, Nazim Karachi was also awarded honorary citizenship of Houston while he was also named Goodwill Ambassador for Houston.
The Mayor of Houston Bill White said the City Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has a great contribution in making Karachi a modern and developed mega city which was also appreciated internationally. Nazim Karachi said the declaration of Karachi and Houston as sister cities and the treatment he received during his visit to the US, especially in Houston, was an honour not only for him but for the citizens of Karachi.
He hoped the MoU would bring the citizens of both the cities closer to each other and also help in understanding the problems faced by the two cities especially in technology transfer.
He said Karachi being the 7th largest city of the world is presently going through a rapid process of development.—APP
