Dar proposes ADB to allow flexibility in implementing Strategy 2020

Islamabad—Minister for Finance, Economic Affairs, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has called upon Asian Development Bank (ADB) to allow flexibility in implementing the Strategy 2020. While talking about the ADB’s Strategy 2020, he emphasized that the Bank should realize the diversity and dynamism and need requirements while implementing the Strategy which spans over the period of 12 years.

Special persons’ industrial training certified by LABARD

Lahore—A number of disabled persons have successfully completed a training course in industrial stitching with the help of Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of Disabled (LABARD) here. A certificate-giving ceremony was held which was jointly chaired by LABARD President Pervaiz Malik. LABARD and LCCI President Mohammad Ali Mian. LABARD Senior Vice President Mian Nusrat-ud-din, Joint Secretary Madiha Aijaz, Finance Secretary Mohammad Saeed Khan,governing body members Naghmana Javaid and Laila Nusratuddin were also present on the occasion.

UK selects PPAF as global partner

Islamabad—Business in the Community (BITC), a UK-based non-profit organization and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) have joined hands to strengthen the networks of responsible corporate sector for community-based development. The BITC which is headed by headed by Prince Charles has selected PPAF as its “partner of choice” through which organizations and affiliated entities of PPAF would work together to create opportunities to participate in programmes and acquire services from other network partners of BITC.
