F.O taking steps to seek UN probe

Islamabad—A summary prepared by the ministry of law seeking the United Nations probe into assassination of former prime minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, is under study of the foreign ministry and it would soon be referred to the prime minister for seeking international community’s support, Qureshi said here on Wednesday.
Talking to media, he said The prime minister will formally request the UN for investigation,” the minister added.
Replying to a question, the FM said that the government was taking serious efforts for getting the release of the abducted ambassador Tariq Azizuddin
He said composite dialogue process between Pakistan and India would resume on May 21 as experts from across the border are scheduled to review the progress made so far in confidence building measures (CBMs).
“They will review the results of fourth round of talks and then plan the agenda for fifth round to be held after the meeting,” the minister said.
