CEC seeks report from CSs on law & order

Islamabad—Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has sought reports on law and order situation from chief secretaries of all the four provinces to review the situation before taking any further decision whether to keep unchanged or cancel the decision about postponement of by-elections.
The consultation process continued in election commission Tuesday in the light of reaction shown by the people on postponement of by-elections.
Letter was issued to all the four chief secretaries asking them to furnish report if holding of elections in the month of June can be made possible and they can make arrangements in time in this respect.
People are expecting that elections would take place in the month of June. Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Dilshad told decision taken to postpone the elections was well conceived and reaction to this decision was limited.
