Plan to raise life style of common man in AJK

Mirpur — AJK government has evolved a broad- based integrated phased plan to improve the living conditions of the common man in AJK through providing all modern basic amenities of life to the population across the liberated territory including to those living in remote and far flung areas, official sources said.
The Government has already placed huge amounts in the ongoing fiscal year budget of AJK state for the purpose under the spirit of the sitting government’s extensive public welfare and uplift program of ‘skilled an green’ Kashmir, the sources told APP here Tuesday.
Since the AJK government is paying special attention to raise the living standard of the common man in the state, the administration planed to launch various projects of public welfare through executing several new development projects of public welfare worth millions of rupees under phased program the new financial year, the sources said.
The sources pointed out that a big portion of the previous fiscal year development funds had also been spent on various ongoing development projects in the area. The government has fixed the priorities for the timely completion of the ongoing projects besides to launched various new development schemes of public welfare in different parts of AJK including Mirpur division.
The development projects include a network of highway and link roads, telecommunications, health ,education and civic sectors launched in Azad Kashmir during the just going fiscal year. The ongoing projects, launched last financial year, will be completed by the end of the current financial year2007-08 to benefit the people as maximum as possible. These projects will not only benefit the population across the liberated territory vis-a-vis extension of latest amenities of life close to their door step but the speedy socio-economic development and prosperity of Azad Jammu Kashmir but also leave far reaching positive impact on the living standard of the common man in the area.
The sources indicated that construction work was in progress for the completion of various ongoing power projects in different parts of AJK since the state government has fixed target of electrifying entire AJK by the end of his year 2008. —APP
