IG Sindh reviews progress of e-policing project

Karachi—Inspector General Police Sindh, Dr Shoaib Suddle has said that e-policing project can bring the police department in conformity with the demands of 21st century and play a significant role in improving the police performance.
He was chairing a meeting held at Central Police Office in connection with e-policing project.
The meeting was attended by Shahid Mahmood, Brig (Rtd) Badar, Brig (Rtd) Azam Khurshid and their technical team, Project Director Tabassum Abbasi besides Additional IG Tariq Jamil, AIG Investigation Zafar Ahmed Farooqi, DIG HQ Waseem Ahmed and other senior police officers.
The IGP issued directive for expeditious completion of the project and said all impediments in its way be removed at the earliest.
The meeting reviewed the computerization carried out so far in Police Stations and to bring innovations in regard to the departmental working under Police Record Office Management System (PROMIS).
The meeting discussed handing over PROMIS under e-policing project.—APP
