Karachi—The Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs,
Syed Faisal Sabzwari said Monday that an inter-provincial youth
exchange program will be launched soon to help the youth of all the
provinces to get acquainted with each other’s culture and
civilization and also understand each other’s problems.
Addressing an introductory meeting of his department officials, the
Minister highlighted the significance of role of the youth in the
development of country and said there is need not only to comprehend
their problems but also chalk out a coordinated program to solve the
same.
He felt that the new generation imperatively needs awareness and
guidance and they need to be told that their role is of cardinal
importance in the country’s development and that in future they are
the ones who have to take over the reigns of the country.
Faisal Sabzwari said that there is need for carving out such social
and cultural projects which may help buildup their confidence and a
spirit created in them of doing something for the country.
He said no one would deny the importance of education, but they have
to be apprised of our social and economic values so that they may be
able to play a positive role in the future.
He directed Secretary Youth Affairs, Mumtaz-ur-Rehman to prepare
PC-1 of the project at the earliest so that an appropriate
allocation could be had for the same in the coming budget for
program implementation. The Minister directed that while initiating
the project, the participation of Sindh’s rural and urban areas be
ensured because youths of Sindh are continued to be ignored since
long, but now present government would let them join the present
stream of development.—APP
