Zardari will get official protocol

Islamabad—The Government has decided to give official protocol to PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari like President and the Prime Minister.

Sources said that Prime Minister Secretariat has directed the Interior Ministry to give official protocol to PPP Co-Chairperson and tighten his security like President and the Prime Minister.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik issued the orders to the Interior Ministry for providing full protocol to the Co-Chairperson of PPP.

Asif Ali Zardari has three personal bullet proof land cruisers equipped with jammers besides police security and personal guards.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry has asked the federal ministers and other important political figures to remove the wireless sets from their vehicles.

The Ministry is of the view that these wireless sets disclose their security planning and police squad will be provided to the Federal Ministers.—NNI
