Nawaz accepts PCO judges

London—Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that he still had reservation on PCO judges but he had accepted PPP’s demand to retain PCO judges just for the sake of reinstatement of deposed judges.

Talking to media on Sunday, he said all the problem being faced by the nation links with independence of judiciary, he said, adding that, the centre of our struggle for restoration of judiciary is to reinstate all deposed judges including Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary.

Answering a question, he said, we did not need NOC from US for reinstatement of deposed judges, as it is our internal matter. In reply to another query, he said, he said that the decision whether to contest by elections or not would be taken after consultation.

It is merit mentioning here that Nawaz Sharif would stay in London for treatment of his spouse. During his stay in London, he would meet several party leaders.Online

SANA adds: Nawaz Sharif has said that the PPP and PML-N alliance is very strong and hoped the conspirators could not create differences in it.

Nawaz Sharif said the implementation of Bhurban agreement with PPP about the restoration of the deposed judges is necessary as their restoration is directly linked with country integrity.

“No one can get safety of job in the country where the judiciary is not free and restoration of judges and Pakistan is indispensable for each other” PML-N Quaid added.

Nawaz Sharif pointed out that better management, law and order situation and rule of law is not possible without independence of the judiciary.

“The independence of judiciary is lifeline for Pakistan and it is the duty of every Pakistani to struggle for the ending of November 03 measures” Nawaz said.

The PML-N Quaid noted that there was no example in any other country where the Army Chief sacked judges and held them under house-arrest.

He vowed that the restoration of the deposed judges including Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is top priority of the PML-N.
