PPHI performing better in health care centres
Peshawar—District Nazim Nowshera, Mohammad Daud
Khattak while appreciating performance of PPHI in improving
healthcare services in district has said that the project has done a
lot for preventive and promotive health to reduce burden of patients
on BHUs.
He was addressing as chief guest at the annual review meeting of
PPHI in Nowshera. District Support Manager (DSM), Rasheed Ahmad
Khan, Medical Officers, elected Nazimeen, notables and members of
the District Support Group were present on the occasion. The meeting
thoroughly reviewed one year performance of the project and compared
it with the previous record.
The District Nazim said that PPHI had shown exemplary performance in
a short period of one year and asked heads of others departments to
seek guidance from the mentioned project for improvement.
“PPHI has taken remarkable steps by giving equal attention to
preventive and curative sides”, he maintained .The District Nazim
said that initiating steps for school health and community education
were among positive efforts of the project. He said that credit was
going to the DSM for out standing performance within the limited
resources. He said that PPHI performance had been lauded at federal
level also.
DSM Rasheed Ahmad Kahan highlighting efforts for improvement of
primary health system in the district and said that OPD has been
increased by 113 % in the last one year. Apart form civil work in
BHUs of the district, he said that medicines and equipments were
also provided in it. Similarly staff shortage had been overcome and
punctuality had been ensured in the health out lets of the district.
The DSM asked elected Nazimeen to help in better utilization of BHU
to make it beneficial for the inhabitants of the area.—APP
