Task force to monitor Rawalpindi govt schools

Rawalpindi—Rawalpindi—Chief Minister Punjab Dost Muhammad Khosa has constituted a Task Force on Education to look into the affairs of the government schools and state of public sector education in the Rawalpindi district with immediate effect.

The task force would consist of Muhammad Hanif Abbasi MNA, NA-56, who would be chairman, Yasir Raza Malik MPA PP-13, Ch Muhammad Ayyaz MPA, PP-9, Executive District Officer (Education), City District Government Rawalpindi (Convenor).

The task force would visit, inspect and examine the state of government schools in the district. They would identify missing facilities in schools and areas for further development.

The task force would also examine the system of monitoring of attendance of pupils and teachers in schools and suggest measures to improve it further. Examine the spatial distribution of schools in the district and suggest ways and means to rationalise any unnecessary condensation or vice versa.

The task force would assess the effectiveness of the performance evaluation and monitoring mechanism of education department in the city district government.—Online
