Recruitment process in Sindh to start soon

Karachi—Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri has said that government is making all out efforts to make local government institutions more active, effectivc and stronger to ensure improved civic facilities for people.

“In this regard elected representatives of people have been given an active role to play”, she said while talking to various delegations here Friday.

Since the first session of Sindh Assembly, she said, the political climate in Sindh has improved a lot. She said Chief Minister’s action nominating, Sindh Local Government Minister as Chairman of KBCA and KW&SB was aimed at improving the working of these organizations and is a step forward to democracy. She said MPA Haji Munawar Ali Abbasi has been nominated as Vice Chairman KW&SB and City Nazim as its member which shows that now these institutions have been made more credible with public representation.

Now every decision will be taken according to the wishes and aspirations of people, she said and added that the decision to cancel appointments/recruitments made by the caretaker government also reflects the wishes of people as the mandate of caretakers was only to hold the elections.—APP
