Rock climbing competition at
FJWU

Rawalpindi—Healthy co curriculum activities help students to improve
their skills besides giving them courage to move forward in their
educational career with determination, said Vice Chancellor
Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan here on Friday.
She was addressing the awards distribution ceremony of the “2nd Rock
climbing competition-2008” was held at Fatima Jinnah Women
University (FJWU). The Rock climbing competition was held on 8th and
9th March, 2008 on Margalla Hills, Islamabad. “Such events are an
opportunity to learn and assimilate new areas of learning in
academics as well. We can learn and share experiences through such
activities”, Dr Saeeda said.
The Vice Chancellor congratulated the students on their achievements
and said, “Indeed it is an honour and privilege for us. We should
appreciate the efforts in term of participation”.
Fatima Jinnah Women University students participated in the senior
category. Ms. Zunara Arooj and Ms. Amna Bibi of FJWU achieved 3rd
and 2nd position in the senior category of the “Rock Climbing
competition-2008” respectively.
The Vice Chancellor awarded certificates to the participants and
winners of the competition. The recipients of the certificates
included Ms. Amal Shabir, Ms. Madiha Ahmad, Ms. Maleeha Javed, Ms.
Maira Ghafoor, Ms. Naheeda Ahmad, Ms. Nimra Mudassior, Ms. Shumaila
Nosheen, Ms. Rabail Hamza, Ms. Saima Khan, Ms. Sundus Bangish, Ms.
Humaira Yousaf, Ms. Saima Khan, Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain, Ms. Meher-un-Nisa,
Ms. Sadia Shah, Ms. Naik Bano, Ms. Uzma Firdous, Ms. Hajra Sameer,
Ms. Bushra Ashraf, Ms. Rabia Ijaz, Ms. Amna Tiwana and Ms. Amna Bibi.
