Election Commission appoints
officials for by-polls
Islamabad—Election Commission of Pakistan Friday appointed District
Returning Officers (DROs), Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant
Returning Officers (AROs) for the elections in eight provincial
assembly constituencies in Punjab and NWFP.
According to the Election Commission notification, these Officers
will conduct the elections in PP-70 (Faisalabad), PP-99 (Gujranwala),
PP-141 (Lahore), PP-154 (Lahore), PP-171 (Nankana Sahib), PF-59 (Battagram),
PF-81 (Swat) and PF-92 (Upper Dir) constituencies of these two
provinces.
For Punjab Assembly constituency PF-70, District & Sessions Judge,
Faisalabad would be District Returning Officer, Muhammad Zulfiqar
Lone, Additional District and Session Judge Faisalabad would be
Returning Officer and Shahzad Ehsan Butt, Civil Judge 1st class,
Faisalabad would be Assistant Returning Officer.
For PP-99, District & Sessions Judge, Gujranwala, Additional
District and Session Judge, Gujranwala Arshad Mehmood, and Azhar
Iqbal Ranjha Civil Judge 2nd class, Gujranwala have been appointed
as DRO, RO and ARO respectively.
For PP-141, District & Sessions Judge, Lahore, Additional District
and Session Judge Lahore, Shahid Hussain Ch. and Muhammad Ashraf,
Civil Judge 1st Class Lahore have been appointed as DROs, ROs and
AROs respectively.
For PP-154, District & Sessions Judge, Lahore, Additional District
and Session Judge, Lahore Muhammad Ibrahim Asghar and Syed Shahzad
Muzaffar Hamdani, Civil Judge 2nd class Lahore would be the DRO, RO
and ARO.
For PP-171, District & Sessions Judge Nankana Sahib, Senior Civil
Judge Nankana Sahib, Abdul Majeed and Aktar Ali Civil Judge 3rd
Class Nankana have been appointed as DRO, RO and ARO respectively.
For PF-59, District & Sessions Judge, Battagram, Civil Judge
Battagram Abdul Majid and Niaz Muhammad ADEO, Battagram have been
appointed as DRO, RO and ARO respectively.
For PF-81, District & Sessions Judge, Swat, Additional District and
Session Judge-II Swat, Syed Asghar Shah and Syed Kazim Hussain Shah,
Tehsildar Babuzai have been appointed as DRO, RO and ARO
respectively.
For PF-92, District & Sessions Judge Upper Dir, Senior Civil Judge
Upper Dir, Qaisar Rahim and Shahzada Jan ADEO, EDO Office Upper Dir
have been appointed DRO, RO and ARO respectively.—APP
