  BoK establishes call centre

Staff Reporter

Peshawar— The Bank of Khyber (BoK) will establish a call center for maximum facilitation of clients, which will be operational shortly. This was stated by Mr. Bilal Mustafa in his welcome address at a dinner hosted by him for BoK Valued Clients in Peshawar. He underscored the importance of incorporating modern day banking tools for maximum facilitation of clients.

Mr. Bilal Mustafa thanked the general public, and businessmen alike, for reposing trust in the services of BoK. He acknowledged that although, the Government of N.W.F.P has majority shareholding in the BoK, but 60% of the total deposit portfolio comes from the general public. The MD BoK stated that the bank understands the importance of strictly adhering to the Corporate Social Responsibility standards. He also enlightened the august audience about the BoKs resolve to continue supporting our sporting talent, and spelled the top management’s intentions of coming up with an Education Scheme to support the talented youth of the province.

Pertinent to mention is that all branches of the Bank of Khyber currently possess the online facility, and the BoK ATMs are now connected with the One-link network.

The Managing Director stated that all clients could now benefit from this network and withdraw cash from any of the 2,412 ATMs installed across Pakistan. Mr. Bilal Mustafa also reiterated his resolve to double the branch network within the coming two years. For all this and more, an active participation from the Government, public, and private sectors was sought by the new MD for further strengthening the BoK, and empowering the same to act as an effective vessel for growth and prosperity for the people of N.W.F.P. He also welcomed suggestions from the clients for further improving the services.

Earlier, Qazi Munir ul Haq, Executive Vice President BoK, made glowing references towards the performance of the bank in the first quarter of the year 2008. He strongly believed that the year 2008 would prove to be a brighter year for the Bank of Khyber, and all its stakeholders.
