Rind appreciates Kidney Centre performance

Quetta— Outgoing Chief Secretary Balochistan K. B Rind here Friday paid farewell visit to Kidney Center which was made functional during his tenure as the Chief Secretary Balochistan.

Speaking on the occasion, he termed the hospital performance satisfactory and said people of the province are being provided the best kidney disease treatment.

Kidney diseases are rampant in the province as the water available here for drinking contains heavy quantity of minerals. In absence of facility like the Kidney Center, the patients had to proceed to the cities in other province for treatment.

However, with the establishment of the center, kidney patients are being provided with quality treatment besides it also ensured treatment facilities to those who could not avail these due to their poor financial conditions.

Former Governor Balochistan Sardar Gul Mohammad Khan Jogezai, Provincial Secretary Labour Wahid Baksh, Trustee Syed Fashieh Iqbal and other were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Chief Secretary attended a briefing about the performance of various departments of the Center and appreciated its staff for ruing the Center in efficient.

He said running of a facility efficiently is a harder task than its establishment and Kidney Center is being run efficiently.

He also inaugurated a two-day free medical camp for kidney patients. The camp is being organized in center premises by renowned Kidney Specialist Dr. Munawar Lal from Jinnah Hospital Karachi. —APP
