Taj Haider tipped as new Sindh Governor

Islamabad—Informed political sources here say that Pakistan People’s Party’s Central Ledership is considering three names as next governor for Sindh among them PPP vetran Senator Taj Haider is on top of the list.

According to the political sources the names suggested by PPP Sindh Taj Haider, Nafees Siddiqui and Hussain Haroon. Among the three leading contenders, a Karachi-based PPP vetran senior member, Taj Haider’s name is most favoured and may be approved get a consensus. He was a PPP Senator and worked as Central Information Secretary PPP Sindh.

The proposed names were forwarded by local Leadership for endorsement by Central Executive Committee but most PPP Sindh members consider that Taj Haider can serve the province in a more matured and qualified way. Taj Haider has served the party for more than three decades. Another leading contender, Nafees Siddiqui is a well-renowned lawyer from Karachi and has long been associated with PPP and maintains excellent with all community leaders.
