8 dead in Kurrum Agency clashes

Kurrum Agency—Eight persons were killed and 42 wounded in the clashes that have been continued for fifth day in Kurrum tribal region. Skirmishes between tribesmen and attackers have spread to Kurman, Para Chamkani after fresh missile attacks, sources said.

The sides using heavy weapons in the ongoing clashes among tribesmen in Balishkhel, Khawar Kalay, Sangeena and Sadda areas of Kurram region.

After fresh missile fires at Kurman, Baghki and Badama local tribesmen and attackers have started trading fire. Two persons were wounded in fresh missile attacks, while death toll in clashes continued for five days, has reached to eight and 42 persons have been wounded. Local tribesmen have announced to hold protest on Friday against failure of the administration to maintain peace and restoration of power supply in the area.
