Islamabad—Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms Sherry Rehman said on Thursday that countdown for restoration of deposed superior courts judges would begin after installation of all the four provincial governments.

She was talking to media at the Parliament House before start of National Assembly session.

Replying to a question she said that some elements were trying to vitiate the political atmosphere in the country but the government would not allow anybody to take law into their hands.

She said that the elements involved in of violence do not want reconciliation process to continue but such elements would fail to achieve their nefarious designs.

The Minister said that efforts with the help of other political parties are being made to restore peace in Karachi.

Sherry Rahman said no issue could be resolved by using force, adding the country is in dire need of peace and harmony at a time when the elected governments at the center and the provinces are in the process of functioning.

She said, “We have to learn to live in peace and harmony; we have to display tolerance, we have to maintain a balance”.

The Minister said PPP believes in the rule of law and is deeply concerned over recent acts of rowdyism which took place in Karachi and Lahore.
