Qaim orders steps to check incidents of violence

Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has strongly deplored the acts of violence in the metropolis on Wednesday.

Chairing an emergent high-level meeting in his Sindh Assembly Chambers here to review the law and order situation, he directed the law enforcement agencies to keep a vigilant eye on miscreants and take foolproof steps so that such incidents do not recur.

Qaim Ali Shah put the police as well as rangers on the alert and also directed that their patrolling be enhanced.

He said we know how to be tender and how to be stern to deal with the situation.

The Chief Minister made it clear that the law and order would be maintained at every cost and protection would be provided to the people. He said he would personally monitor the situation.

He ordered immediate arrest of those responsible for the acts of violence.

Qaim Ali Shah pointed out that no dereliction towards the maintenance of law and order, would be tolerated.

He expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives and sympathised with the bereaved families.—APP
