Karachi —Whether politically motivated or not
the fact remains that the violence as a chain
effect of Dr. Sher Afgan incident claimed ten
lives, more than 20 injured, besides 50 vehicles
were put on fire by a wild mob in front of City
and Malir courts here Wednesday.
Islamabad—New finance minister Ishaq Dar said
Wednesday that the government’s economic targets
cannot be met and the country’s economy will
probably grow only by 6 percent as against the
target of 7.2 percent.
Sargodha/Islamabad—Former Federal Minister, Dr.
Sher Afgan has said that Muslim League-N,
Jamaat-e-Islami hooligans and the lawyers in
brigade targeted and tortured him for his being
an associate of President Musharraf, but the
Lahore FIR was registered sans his complaints.

Lahore—Members Punjab Assembly including 270
male, 75 female and eight minority members took
oath according to the 1973 Constitution

session of the 14th provincial assembly of the

Pathan who was involved in manhandling of Former

Quetta—Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani of Pakistan
Peoples Party (PPP) took oath as Chief Minister
Balochistan at a ceremony held here at the
Governor House on Wednesday.
Islamabad—Thirty-nine ships carrying 1.534
million tons of wheat have reached Pakistan,
while 1.444 million tons have already been off
loaded and, thereby, 1.4 million tons of wheat
sent to the provinces.
