French master trainers brief
IG NH&MP on training

Islamabad—The two French Police Trainers, who were on a three-week
visit to Pakistan, have provided training to 35 Police Officers of
National Highways & Motorway Police.
Maurice Blanc, Commandant Police College, Leon (France) presented a
detailed report on training process to IG, NH&MP Muhammad Raffat
Pasha. Mr. Jean Paul Perret, Trainer and Liaison Officer on Police
of French Embassy were also present on the occasion. While giving
the briefing,
Maurice Blanc said that at first they studied the whole working
policing system of NH&MP and then they chalked out their training
techniques. He said that most complicated thing was to handle
accident and after-accident issues, which we have given the detailed
briefing to 35 master trainers of NH&MP. The French Trainers
suggested that the crush barriers of Motorway is highly unsafe due
to short height and suggested that its height may be increased in
double, so that in case of any accident the vehicle of one side
should not cross road.
He also stated they have trained the NH&MP staff with modern
techniques in handling the traffic jams and in case of any accident
in bad weather condition i.e. fog and rain etc. He also briefed that
they have given the modern techniques on road safety issues and to
save the lives of the commuters in case of any accident. He further
added that they also provided training on handling the dangerous
goods vehicles and intervention techniques to control the traffic
jams through motorbikes.
The Inspector General, NH&MP thanked the two French Police Trainers
on providing training to master trainers of NH&MP. The IG, NH&MP
said that some one hundred officers would go to France for getting
advance Police training.
