Six flour sale points set up in capital

Islamabad—Islamabad Capital Territory Administration has set up six sale points in Islamabad for providing 20 kg flour bags at the control rate of Rs. 300.

These sale points have been set up at Aabpara market, Sittara market, Karachi company, G-9, Tarnol, Bhara Kau and Golra. Monitoring teams consisting of Magistrates supervised the arrangements.

Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed told that sale points have been set up to facilitate the consumers and providing relief of them.

Trucks laden with flour bags sold atta to the citizens at the control rate at these sale points on Tuesday. Moreover, 16 Atta dealers have been activated with additional supply of Atta in the markets.

ICT Administration is also ensuring regular supply and availability of flour bags in the markets and it is easily available in the markets.

Special Magistrate Arif Raheem conducted visit of sale points and markets in the city area and ensured the availability of Atta in the city area.

District Food controller, Muhammad Afzal conducted visits in I-9, I-10 and I-8 markets and supervised the availability of Atta in thee sectors.

Assistant Commissioner, ICT Cap (R) Shebaz and Magistrate (Rural) conducted visits of rural areas and ensured availability of atta at the control rate in Bhara Kau and Rawat.

District Food Controller, Islamabad Muhammad Afzal informed that smooth supply of Atta is being ensured in the city and rural areas. Since, sufficient atta was available in the markets, therefore, sale of atta at the six sale points remained very low on Tuesday.

He informed that shopkeepers have been asked to sell atta only to the local community. He warned that strict action will be taken against he profiteers and hoarders.

District Food Controller, ICT also checked the record of two flour mills namely Alcam Flour mill and Rehmania Flour Mill on Tuesday. He also conducted price checking in G-9 Markaz, Peshawar More, Haidery market, Multani market G-10 markaz and power market G-10/4 and imposed heavy fines on profiteers for not displaying rate list.—APP
